About Poor Richard's Financial Literacy

We're a non-profit organization with a mission to offer high-quality financial education through free, information-packed workshops and classes, in a non-selling environment. These events are constructed to educate and help attendees, and address a variety of financial topics and concerns.

These educational workshops are presented by a select group of experienced financial professionals, dedicated to educating the public. We do no selling at these events, and they're strictly for educational purposes.

Our Name

Our name comes from "Poor Richard's Almanack," the annual pamphlet that philomathic founding father, Ben Franklin published from 1732 to 1758. The Almanack was packed with witty sayings, sage advice, clever wordplay and challenging puzzles. It was a popular addition to American life in the 18th century.

Likewise, Poor Richard's Financial Literacy uses sound educational principles to show you how you can live your best financial life, and give yourself and your family the greatest possible chance at a good financial future.

Our name is also a play on the name of our company's founder, who's one of our senior consultants and volunteer educators, Richard Lamore. Rich has long been a history buff, and an admirer of Ben Franklin.
